Need to go view the Dallas Morning News RISD blogs. What is needed in RISD is a new board. Patti Keiker has been in the district for many years. Under the current interims time as Superintendent several years ago the district was never recognized. The district now has been Recorgnized four years in a row and is just a step away from from the next level. If the Board would have just put Patti Keiker in the position after Jim Nelson left, the district would be even further along. Now the Board has already paid $300k to make one of the problems they caused go away. They created more trouble by brining in an out of date interim. AND they still don't get it that the talent they seek is right here in Patti Keiker.

Those with children in RISD should be very concerned about this board. Excellent education or all children should be the highest priority.

City leaders should be concerned about this Board as they attempt to tear down progress made over the last 6 years.
