A Tale of Two Districts during the Holidays: Richardson and Frisco

A Dallas Morning News article reads "Richardson kids honored for donating gifts to Toys for Tots" but what did some Frisco kids make donations for?

Jeffrey Weiss reports on great kids at Prairie Creek Elementary School having a party to collect toys for the Marines Toys for Tots program. Click Here to read the story. Giving toys was, according to the story, the kids idea.

In Frisco, WFAA's Steve Stoler brings us a story about what kids collected, and what it was collected for. Click Here to read or watch that story.

That's right. It was the principal's birthay (and not a Christmas gift) but kids were asked to give a quarter to buy their principal a designer purse to go with the designer shoes they bought her the previous year.

According to the story when the principal heard, "she sent out a mass e-mail asking parents to let her donate it to a program that helps Frisco's needy."

That's more like it.
