Please join us for the unveiling of our new learning facility! An Open House will be held in celebration of the grand opening of Evolution Academy Charter School’s new facility, located at 1101 South Sherman Street; Richardson, TX 75081. The open house will take place on Wednesday, September 10, 2008, from 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm at the school. Light refreshments will be provided and the open house will consist of a tour of the new campus.

Evolution Academy Charter School (EACS) is a public high school, which means there is no tuition for students or their parents. Evolution Academy provides students with a choice about their education and targets adolescents who have dropped out of high school or are at serious risk of doing so. The mission of Evolution Academy is to enable its students to achieve academic, social and career success. Evolution Academy teaches academic subjects in interactive, experiential ways within an interdisciplinary environment. In order to connect the worlds of work and school, Evolution Academy offers job skills training, job placement assistance, community service opportunities, and elective credit for employment.

To be eligible for admission, applicants must be between the ages of 15 - 21 and must have officially withdrawn from school. Candidates who have not dropped out of school and are seriously at risk of doing so, may be referred for consideration by a parent, public school principal, assistant principal, guidance counselor or an authorized school official.

Evolution Academy serves students throughout the Dallas/Ft. Worth Metroplex. Since its inception in 2002, Evolution Academy has graduated more than 600 students.
