Mayor and Council open Santa's Village (with video)  

(December 1- Richardson, TX) Mayor Steve Mitchell, with a declaration about a visit with Santa and a plume of magic pixie dust, open the 2007 Santa's village.

Santa's Village takes place on the City Hall Plaza. As you can see from the video it is adorned with fesitve holiday lights and cheer. There is some live entertainment during the event with times and performers posted at the village.

Fifteen buildings are on hand ranging from the North Pole Fire Station to the Polar Bear Bank to, of course, Santa's House. Kid's can come visit Santa each day.

The remaining days for this year are December 8 and 9, and December 13-16. The village is open from 6-9 PM.

Admission and Parking are free and there are concessions for sale in the village.
