Richardson Chamber Of Commerce Honors Volunteers for 2007  

RICHARDSON, Texas – December 21, 2007 – The Richardson Chamber of Commerce recently announced the winners of its 2007 Volunteer Awards, which recognize outstanding community service efforts within the organization.

The following individuals and organizations will be recognized at the Richardson Chamber's Annual Banquet, which takes place on February 27 at the Renaissance Hotel in Richardson:

SMALL BUSINESS OF THE YEAR
This award is presented to a Richardson small business for their years of operation, growth and/or community service.
Winner: Mulvihill Asset Management

VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR
This award is presented to a volunteer who has made an outstanding effort to support the RCC.
Winner: Mark Kobilka, owner of On the Mark Printing

ROOKIE OF THE YEAR
This award is presented to an individual who has done an outstanding job working on an RCC committee or event activity for one year or less.
Winner: Gena Evans, vice president of commercial lending at American National Bank

COMMITTEE OF THE YEAR
This award is presented to an RCC committee for outstanding performance in achieving its goals.
Winner: Richardson Young Professionals

AMBASSADOR OF THE YEAR
This award is presented to an individual who has recruited and retained RCC members, welcomed and engaged new members and contributed significantly to hospitality efforts within the organization.
Winner: Sandra Moudy

The Richardson Chamber of Commerce, which celebrated its 60th anniversary in 2006, was founded in 1946 and is the 4th-oldest Chamber in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. The Chamber today boasts more than 1,300 Richardson-area member companies. The major strengths of the Richardson Chamber of Commerce include economic development, support of small businesses, dissemination of business data, education and networking.
